Elkader is set in the Turkey River Valley which flows past the Riverside Cooperage Mill 'N' Retreat. Beautiful hills and scenic byways surround this relaxing town.

If you like history, Clayton County has it. There is NINE HISTORIC Sites on the National Register in Clayton County.
